Rukhsana Shah is a retired Federal Secretary. In 2015, she set up the Autism Resource Centre in Lahore, which was registered as a Welfare Trust in 2016, to create awareness about Autism, ADHD and Learning Disabilities in Pakistan, and to train parents and teachers of special and mainstream schools in the management of these disabilities. Dr. Salma is the COO of the Trust in Karachi. She is a qualified medical professional with many years of experience as a General Physician with voluntary work in Hospitals, Charities, and NGOs including Voice Against Torture where she was providing counselling to victims from Afghanistan.
