4th Annual Conference of ASD Welfare Trust

On April 26, 2025, ASD Welfare Trust hosted its 4th Annual Conference at Avari Hotel, Lahore, focusing on “Training & Employment of Adults with Autism and Neurodiverse Conditions.”

CEO Ms. Rukhsana Shah opened the event, urging employers to embrace Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in their HR policies.

Keynote speakers Ms. Nabila Chaudhry (Rising Sun), Ms. Noorulain Syed (NOWPDP), Mr. GM Tabassum (Employers Federation), and Ms. Tania Hussain (Turning Point) shared solutions on vocational training, financial independence, and assisted employment for neurodiverse adults.

Presentations by Dr. Izhar Hashmi and Mr. Bu Ali highlighted efforts by Punjab Welfare Trust for the Disabled and LABARD in creating job opportunities. A panel featuring TEVTA, PVTC, UMT, LCWU, and industry leaders discussed inclusive practices and employer roles.

The conference ended with a lively Q&A session, moderated by Dr. Salma Khalil, encouraging collaboration for a more inclusive workforce.
