On 16th September 2026, ASD Welfare Trust (ASDWT) Lahore conducted an awareness session on Neurodevelopmental Disorders at Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences, Shalamar Nursing College, Lahore, for 56 final-year BSN students.

The session featured informative presentations by ASDWT’s team:

🧩 Ms. Humaira Akbar delivered a session on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), covering early red flags, DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, assessment, and management strategies.

Ms. Sunehra Zaidi discussed Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Learning Disabilities, highlighting DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, possible causes, and management approaches.

The session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of neurodevelopmental disorders and equip future healthcare professionals with valuable knowledge to support early identification, appropriate intervention, and compassionate care.
