Dr. Salma Khalil, COO of Autism Spectrum Disorders Welfare Trust (ASDWT), was invited as the guest speaker at the Rising Stars Rehabilitation Center and School for their World Mental Health Day event.
Dr. Salma delivered a powerful address on the importance of prioritizing mental well-being, especially during emergencies, and emphasized the need for accessible mental health facilities across all communities.
She also highlighted the often-overlooked emotional struggles of parents of special needs children, stressing the importance of providing caregivers with continuous support and resources.
